Belgrade, 17th and 18th October 2019

In order to limit the adverse effects of climate change and reduce their environmental impacts, the reorientation towards clean and renewable sources of electricity will be necessary in the following several decades. By comparison with other types of energy, electricity has the highest consumption rate and, therefore, in the following period we can expect the closing of older, less efficient power plants that use fossil fuels. The transition to renewable sources of electricity also requires more favourable loans. The continuing reduction of investment costs will lead to the increasing use of renewable sources. Renewable energy sources are increasingly used worldwide and the prices of electricity generated this way are already below the prices of electricity generated using fossil fuels.

The Seventh International Conference on Renewable Electricity Sources will be focused on the following aims: reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, study, promotion and wide use of renewable sources of electricity, conservation of natural resources, energy efficiency, and reduction of fossil fuel based electricity consumption.

The 7th ICREPS is financialy supported by the
Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development
