SMEITS organized events during pandemic

To protect health and safety of the SMEITS staff and members, and events attendees - both vaccinated and unvaccinated, SMEITS is closely monitoring guidances from the COVID-19 Infection Disease Crisis Response Team of the Republic of Serbia regarding events and traveling.

This document may be changed according to health situation in Serbia and Belgrade.

Before the event

By mandatory event on-line registration, each participant accepts provisions of this text.

Venue entrance is allowed for the Republic of Serbia citizens with one of the following certificates:

Proof of recovery from COVID-19 no sooner than 14 days and no longer than 6 months.
Proof of full vaccination.
Negative result from a PT-PCR test not older than 72 hours.
Negative result from a rapid antigen test not older than 48 hours.

Venue entrance is allowed for foreign citizens with one of the following certificates:

Certificate of overcome COVID-19 disease issued in the Republic of Serbia, or in a foreign state with which Republic of Serbia has concluded corresponding agreement (more info on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs site: https://bit.ly/3k1HYOa).
Certificate of full vaccination issued in the Republic of Serbia, or in a foreign state with which Republic of Serbia has concluded agreement on the vaccination recognition (more info on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs site: https://bit.ly/3k1HYOa).
Negative result from a PT-PCR test not older than 72 hours.
Negative result from a rapid antigen test not older than 48 hours.

On the venue, the Organizer will try to provide rapid testing at a discounted price.

During the event

The on-site badge obtaining and check-in will be fast and with minimum contacts.
All participants should wear masks.
Program halls will have limited number of seats, with propper distance.
Hand sanitizers will be strategically positioned in the venue.

Following persons should not attend SMEITS events:

Person with suspected or confirmed COVID-19.
Persons with symptoms including but not limited to: fever or chills, cough, shorntess of breath, fatigue, etc.
Person who know or may suspect that has had close contact (in period of two weeks before the event) with another person with confirmed COVID-19.

After the event

If an attendee tests positive for COVID-19 within several days of leaving the conference, the
attendee must notify the Organizer immediately. If necessary, the Organizer will communicate to attendees after the last day of the event.

Release of liability

in order to prevent infection of own employees, members and other attendees, the Organizer shall apply all the health and safety measures issued by the COVID-19 Infection Disease Crisis Response Team of the Republic of Serbia. However, since COVID-19 is highly contagious and spreads by person-to-person contact, Organizer can not guarantee that attendees will not become infected with COVID-19.

Risk waiver

Participation at the event includes possible exposure to illnesses including but not limited to COVID-19. By registration to the event, attendee confirms her/his infections risk consciously acceptance and that he/she will conduct responsibly. In the case of infections he/she should not consider responsible neither Organizer nor any of particpants.
